Maths Teacher

  • Flexible start date- between October half term and January 2019

This Ofsted Outstanding School in South West London is looking for a strong Maths Teacher to start immediately or in January.

 

This large secondary school is a mixed school with pupils aged 11 to 18, and has lots of strong teachers and support staff who have been at the school for a number of years. In 2012 it obtained Ofsted Outstanding status and the school continue to strive for success for its pupils, via a friendly learning environment and great staff. This teaching focus is complemented by an extensive enrichment activities programme throughout the week. The pupils are well behaved and have great ambition which leads to results above the national average, and almost 100% staying in education after Key Stage 4.

The Mathematics Teacher role in this school involves being responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, and applicants with strong subject knowledge will be welcomed. This role is purely a teaching role, with no extra pastoral or extra curriculum requirements. As a core subject this department is highly valued and a priority at the school. The exam board used here is AQA up to the KS4/GSCE level.

The role is temporary with an opportunity to become permanent. NQT’s are welcome, as the school have a very good system of training and induction into the school. Any teacher applying must have strong classroom management skills and be confident in their subject knowledge.
