Head of History Teaching Role

Horizon Teachers are seeking an experienced, qualified History Teacher, for a teaching role in Croydon.

You will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to teach History;
  • An enhanced DBS;
  • To be available to work from January 2019 in the Croydon area.

This secondary school in Croydon is a mixed secondary school, ages 11-18, running on the school motto “Inspiring Lives, Building Futures”. As a teacher in this school you will be part of a strong community of teachers, parents and carers, who are helping their students to achieve their full potential. This will especially be the case as a Head of Department, as you will be leading a team of history teachers who will be adding to the pastoral care of students, as well as teaching your own classes from KS3 to KS5. For this role you will also need to have strong classroom management skills.

The school are looking for a passionate history teacher, with experience of leading a team to take on a role that is of extreme importance to the school. It is a huge opportunity to join a school on the path to Ofsted Outstanding, making your mark and enhancing the students working environment.

This role is a full time, long term role, on the MPS/UPS with TLR for suitable candidates.

Horizon teachers is currently working with a well-known secondary school based in the borough of Enfield who are looking for a dynamic teacher of History to join their successful staffing team.
