An exciting opportunity has opened for an Unqualified Drama teacher. This is a great role for a passionate Drama graduate or performer to join a thriving Outer East London Secondary School and work as a n Unqualified Drama Teacher. This is the ideal opportunity for a passionate Drama graduate to start their journey in a secondary school with the opportunity to train as a teacher in 2020. The School are looking to appoint an Unqualified Drama Teacher who is able to teach KS3 and 4 Drama to mixed groups of varied ability. The role is for a year and would be paid directly through Horizon Teachers, in September 2020 there will be the opportunity to train as a teacher and gain QTS.
The Head teacher is looking for an Unqualified Drama Teacher who is looking to get experience of teaching Drama at KS3 and GCSE. The school will provide support for the successful applicant and will enable you to develop into a teacher in the future. The role would suit someone looking for experience in a secondary school who is thinking about teaching as a career. The Ability to demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for Drama is essential. You must be able to enthuse, motivate and progress students of all ability in Drama. Within the school Drama is taught at KS3 as well as at GCSE. Drama students achieve well and results at GCSE. The department work as a strong team and there is now the need for an additional teacher. As part of the timetable the successful Drama Teacher will be teaching students at KS3 and also GCSE.
The department work collaboratively and staff share best practice and in recent years this has delivered the departments highest results. Students and teachers work in a calm and engaging environment. The modern classrooms are furnished to a high standard with the latest equipment and resources available in every lesson. Schemes of work have been adapted and the current department have done extensive planning to ensure all lessons are differentiated and pupils of all abilities progress in lessons.
The School itself is a mid-sized mixed school where pupils are valued and staff work well together. The school in recent years has had a transformation and the successful Drama Teacher will be joining the school at an exciting time. The transformation has seen pupils grades increase and behaviour improve across the school. A real sense of purpose is in place at the school and all staff and students work together.
