Design Technology - Construction – September 2019 – July 2020

Horizon Teachers are seeking to recruit a teacher of Design Technology who is a  specialist in construction to work in an Outstanding Secondary school. This is a full time role and would be a yearlong position employed via Horizon Teachers. The Role would pay to scale from day 1. 

The school are looking to appoint an experienced DT teacher with the ability to teach across all key stages with a focus on KS4 construction. The successful DT teacher will be able to teach DT to KS3, 4 and 5. You must be passionate about DT and able to deliver engaging and progressive lessons. Students the take construction are passionate and the successful teacher must be able to deliver engaging practical lessons.

The Hear of DT wishes to appoint a dynamic and creative teacher who is able to motivate pupils with their passion for Construction. The school has an outstanding DT department and resources are plentiful. The school have a dedicated technician that supports the department.

Students and teachers work in a calm, engaging but focused environment. Schemes of work have been created in DT that allow pupils to experience a wide range of methods and techniques. Pupils work is strong and all pupils that take construction take pride in their end results. The department have done extensive planning to ensure all lessons are differentiated and pupils of all abilities progress above the national expectations.  The school ranks highly in league tables (top 100 of non-selective schools) and holds International School Award status.

What we are looking for;

A Qualified Art Teacher (QTS) with recent in class experience.

A teacher with an outstanding classroom record.

A teacher available from September 2019

A teacher looking for apart time teaching position

A Teacher wanting to progress and work in a great Art department.
