Horizon Teachers has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate Newly Qualified Geography Teacher to work with some extraordinary and aspirational students, in a developing area of East London.
A Newly Qualified Geography Teacher is required for a School located in a community that holds a special place in East London. The school is situated in a purpose built and modern building. The school is driven by the dreams, aspirations and ambitions of the students and the wider community. The school would love to appoint a Newly Qualified Geography teacher to join them in helping to build a school which will drastically improve the life chances of the young people in Barking.
The school we are working with opened in September 2016 and will eventually grow to become a 10 form entry school with 1800 pupils, including sixth form, in purpose-built new accommodation. The school currently have Years 7, 8 and 9 and are situated in the first phase of their permanent accommodation.
The school has a passion for learning and high standards are upheld by the dedicated Head Teacher. Aspiration is at the heart of everything the school do and they believe that every child has the right and potential to achieve their ambitions. For newly qualified teachers exceptional training is given and a comprehensive induction programme is in place. In recent years Newly Qualified Teachers have been progressed and are now in positions of responsibility at the school.
The school are looking to recruit an ambitious Newly Qualified Teacher of Geography who shares the schools passion, vision and ambitions for the young people of this community. This role is designed for an NQT. You will be joining a highly motivated and passionate group of staff and a great Humanities department who work tirelessly in the best interests of the students. Staff development is central to everything the school do and you will receive weekly coaching sessions; a personalised CPD programme which best fits your needs; and clear pathways for progression.
