Teacher of Music

Start - ASAP

Location - Redbridge

Salary - £150 - £200 per day

Duration - Long Term - Possible Permanent contract

 

This friendly all-girls school located in Redbridge is looking for an outstanding teacher of Music to join their hard working successful Music department.

The school is looking for a teacher of Music who will be able to play a vital role in the development of Music in the School. With this being a popular subject the school wish to appoint a driven and passionate musician who will be able to teach Music at KS3, 4 and 5. Pupils study music at both GCSE and A Level. It is a popular choice so the successful applicants needs to be confident teaching Music up to KS5. The school also need a Music Teacher who will be able to contribute to the extensive extra-curricular timetable that includes performances and concerts.

The school has an excellent reputation in the local area and students continue to progress well at GCSE and also A Level. The Headteacher is visible around the school and with the support of strong senior leadership team has raised standards and these have been embedded throughout the school.

The ideal candidate will be able to; plan and deliver high quality lessons to students of all abilities, have experience of progressing students to achieve at GCSE and A Level. You must also be able to motivate students in all areas of Music and performance. The ability to play music at a high level is essential .

Within the School Music is taught in modern, purpose built well equipped classrooms. The department is led by an experienced Head of Music, the school wish to appoint a new teacher, the department has a wide range of instruments and dedicated practice facilities. All teachers at the school are supported and a CPD programme is in place throughout the year. Results at GCSE in recent years have been high and students have achieved more high level grades than in other subject areas.
