SEN Teaching Assistant - Supporting Autism

* Term time, long term position
* Full time - Mon to Friday 8.30am -3.30pm
* Enfield
* Start in September 2019 -Long term supply contract

About the role:
• You will be supporting a child with SEN on a 1:1 basis within in Key stage 2 - Year 3
• Experience of understanding and working with children and supporting SEN in particular Autism is essential
• The majority of your time will be spent in the classroom however they may be times you will be working individually outside of the classroom.

• Good communication is essential, as you will be working closely with teachers, parents and external agencies.
• Have a good understanding of how children learn and any experience in a similar role would be a huge advantage.

Learning Mentor, Primary school

Learning Mentor - Mainstream Primary school- Islingon- Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm- Temp top perm role- Daily rate - £80 -£120Horizon teachers are working with an outstanding mainstream primary school in Islington. They are looking for an experienced Learning Mentor to start when they reopen following the covid-19 closires. This will be a full time, term time role. We are looking at someone who has experience of de-escalation strategies as the role would be resolving conflict and supporting challenging children in all aspect of school from in class support to giving children tools to be successful in the playground, in particular when they are finding it challenging.You will work closely with school leaders and SENDCO to provide pastoral care to students, identifying those that may need additional support.This may suit someone who has experience in youth work in some form or has worked in a PRU and is keen to transition to a mainstream setting.
