A great opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school in Lambeth on a full-time, long-term basis from January. The school are keen to find an enthusiastic graduate who has experience of working with students 11-18. The students are polite, courteous, eager to learn and of all abilities. The role is to support the students whilst they complete work set by teaching staff on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups. The role is ideal for those looking to gain or expand on their classroom experience, and for those passionate about enhancing education for SEN students.
To apply for the role of a Learning Support Assistant you must:
Be a graduate, ideally with a 2:1 degree (from a Russell University would be desirable)
Have a positive ‘can do’ attitude
Have excellent communication skills
Have experience of working with students of ages 11-18
As a Learning Support Assistant you will:
Support students with tasks set by teaching staff
Assist SEN students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
Supervise group activities
Take part in training if required
