Learning Mentor - Clapham

Are you an experienced Learning Mentor, looking for a new and exciting challenge?

Horizon Teachers are looking for a dedicated and caring Learning Mentor to join an OUTSTANDING Primary School in Clapham.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will spend approximately half of your week working as a Learning Mentor, running with small group sessions and working with children on a 1:1 basis. The rest of your week will be spent supporting a child with an SEN/D of SEMH.

This is a full time role and is available for an ASAP start. Initially, the roll will be temporary, but there is potential for a permanent contract to be offered in the future.

ABOUT YOU

• An experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
• Experience of working in Primary Schools and supporting children with their learning
• A calm and nurturing approach
• Able to commit to the school and children on an ongoing basis, for at least the remainder of the current academic year

Salary: £70-£110 per day Horizon currently has a fantastic opportunity available for a confident and experienced Behaviour Mentor to work within the Inclusion Team of a great mixed Secondary School in West London. If you have experience of working on cases for safeguarding, child protection and on a 1:1 basis or with small groups of pupils then this could be the perfect role for you. This Ofsted Good` rated Secondary school based in the borough of Hillingdon is keen to appoint graduates with a degree relating to Education or an experienced Behaviour Maentor who has worked with pupils in the past and has experience with safeguarding and child protection. The SENCO is looking for candidates who can bring proactivity/ flexibility and be good team members for highly successful department. The school offer CPD and this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and develop into a role. This role is fast paced, and you will be required to attend meetings with outside agencies. Learning Support Assistant - Year 2

£70 - £85 per day
A large school in Southwark require an excellent Learning Support Assistant to work in one of their Year 2 classes. The school is centrally located with great transport links. This is a full time role to start after the spring half term and will last for the rest of the academic year. You will supporting in a year 2 class- This will involve group work and one to one with a specific child with low self esteem and learning gaps. • Ideally you will have experience in a similar role (TA or LSA) or will have worked in a KS1 classroom before.• You should be pro-active and be able to show initiative in your current/previous roles. • Although the child is not challenging and behaviour is not an issue you should be familiar with behaviour management and any SEN experience would also be advantageous.• Most importantly a can do attitude and willingness to learn will help you secure this role.
