This role would suit someone who has a passion learning and supporting children and also individuals who are possibly thinking about teaching in 2019. You will be supporting students in all subject areas, the ability to support children with learning difficulties is essential.

  • recent in school experience, possibly as a TA since September.
  • A degree or in school experience
  • A passion for education and want to pass this on to others.
  • Experience as a tutor or as a TA within a school setting
  • the desire to work as a Learning coach.

Learning Support Assistant - Supporting SEN

Learning Support Assistant - Supporting SEN * Primary School, Key Stage 2 * North London- Tottenham Area * Starting January 2019 A large Primary School in North London is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to be based in Key Stage 2. This position is starting in January 2019 for the rest of the academic year. This position is to support a child with ADHD the child has emotional reactions when frustrated, this is sometimes expressed by the pupil in aggression. The  child responds well to individuals with a calm and patient attitude. The SENCO has developed a strong working relationship with them and is working to support the child and family in and outside of the school environment. The successful applicant will be required to support the child with their learning and also with their behavioural and social development. The child can be easily distracted and find is very difficult to focus when working in the classroom. So the school have scheduled some time in for them outside of the classroom to work. Due to the child's volatile behaviour golden time is allocated to them when they become distracted and anxious, this is when a sports background would come in to effect to help calm them down. We are looking for an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a boy in a Reception class. You will be working with a boy who has Autism, supporting him with his learning. There will also be some personal care involved in the role. The position is available for a January start and will continue on an ongoing basis, until at least the end of the academic year, but possibly beyond.
