Learning Coach
Location - East London
Salary - £74 - £84 per day

Located in Central East London this Outstanding mixed secondary school is wanting to employ Learning Coaches who can assist and enhance the learning of students in the different departments of the school.

The school is outstanding, and has a unique program of support for all students. The Learning Coach program allows dedicated support staff to make a significant contribution to the attainment of selected pupils.

As a learning coach and under direction from the various heads of department you will be tasked with targeting specific groups of students. At KS3 you will focus on low achievers and work with them to ensure they are making expected levels of progress. At KS4 you will target two groups, C/D border line students as well as students pushing for A and A* grades. This role is varied and will suit a graduate or experienced LSA looking to make a real difference.

The Learning Coach role would suit University graduates that are looking to get into teaching in the future and who want to develop their experience and skills in a school setting.

This is a full time responsibility and Learning Coaches are required to be at school from 8.45am until 5.00pm to assist with pre, during and after school activities and intervention. It is a rewarding role where you will make a dramatic impact upon the learning of all students.

This is an outstanding school, and you will be working within supportive and hard working departments. This role is directed by the heads of departments so a strong academic background is required. Applicants do not need to have experience of working in schools but the willingness to learn as well as impart knowledge to others. The school is mixed, and the role is supporting pupils across the age and ability range.

For successful applicants there is progression available as the school has stated that their is a possibility of moving to a School Direct placement at the end of the year.
