The main duties of an exam invigilator will be as follows;

  • To work independently, but also within a team to ensure exams are carried out properly efficient and in line with documented processes
  • Making sure the exam hall/room is set up and collect equipment/exam papers etc at the end of each exam
  • Making sure students are conversing or cheating
  • To ensure students have enough paper and stationary
  • Assisting students who may need to leave due to illness
  • Provide support as a reader/scribe for pupils with accessibility arrangements

To be successful in your application you will have the following;

  • Educated to a degree level achieving a 2:1 or above
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Enthusiastic and proactive
  • Positive can do attitude
  • Previous experience of exam invigilating will be a benefit
  • Excellent organisation skills
