Thanks to the enthusiastic leaders within the English team, the department is having a resurgence and they are looking to appoint two teachers to join their team. You will have the opportunity to create and design innovative lessons to stretch and challenge the learners.

The subject enjoys a growing reputation among students, with a syllabus at KS3 that focuses on the key skills of reading and writing. Within KS3 students also have the opportunity to enhance their confidence in Oracy to help develop the foundation for the skills needed at KS4.

The KS4 syllabus is AQA, which offers a good balance between Language and Literature. Students will be equipped with the necessary skills of critical thinking, analysis of the rich language and the ability to write imaginatively and creatively. This will enable students to work independently, preparing them for A-Level Literature.
