Are you a super supply teacher who loves working in secondary schools across London? 
Are you an established teacher looking for a change of pace? 
Are you looking for flexible working hours to supplement your income, with the opportunity to develop your teaching practice?

Horizon teachers is currently looking for secondary school teachers to work from October in some wonderful schools in South West London.  Due to an increased demand in our services, Horizon Teachers is now looking to add to the teachers it is working with.  We offer a great rate of pay to all our teachers and we offer continued support throughout your time working with us.  We will always aim to find the school that’s right for you, and will listen to your feedback!

As a successful supply teacher it is important that you have effective classroom management strategies, and you will understand the challenges you may face as a supply teacher.  You must also have excellent rapport building skills with students, getting them settled and on task, and be able to follow and adapt lesson plans to suit the needs of the lesson. 

Supply teaching can be an idea way to supplement your income while setting your own schedule.  It also allows you to improve your classroom skills as you try out different schools, year groups and methods.  You’re at liberty to try out different behaviour management or teaching techniques which may benefit the students’ learning in a helpful way. 

Horizon teachers can introduce you to a large number of schools in South West London After proving your abilities as a supply teacher, you may also be offered a full time job and we have found that many of our teachers are offered longer term roles at the schools they have worked with.  The option is, of course, up to you and we will work to get you the role, the school and the number of days teaching you are looking for.

Head of Science
