A Special SEN School based in South West London are seeking a Primary/SEN teacher from the January. The post is full time and long term a possibility of an extension from September.

About the School

The school cater for children aged from 2 to 11 years old with severe/profound and complex learning difficulties or an autistic spectrum disorder. A number of special and tailored approaches are used when appropriate to support work with pupils at the school and pupils benefit from working as a class group; they learn from each other to share attention to improve literacy and numeracy targets. The dedicated team of support staff also support in small groups or individually with each pupil to meet their individual needs.

The teachers work in close collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to review pupil’s individual education plans every term. Short-term targets are listed in small steps towards the long-term targets agreed at annual reviews. These targets address the areas important for that child’s development, usually incorporating communication skills, cognitive development and/or personal and social education.

·         Be Primary or Secondary trained

ASD Primary Teacher - September 2019

£150 - £225 per day

A Primary School in Barking and Dagenham are currently looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to start in January 2019, the position is full time and 'on going', the position will then go permanent for the right person. The position is based in the brand new ARP attached to the mainstream primary school, the provision caters for primary aged children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Emotional Behavioural difficulties. Duties and Responsibilities • To deliver the Key stage 2 National Curriculum to a range of needs and abilities, the class has 12 children ranging from year 3 to 6. • Treat pupils with dignity, and provide a safe, positive and stimulating environment in which pupils feel encouraged to learn. • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, as well as using a wide variety of strategies to meet differing learning styles. • Manage the inclusion of the ARP children into mainstream lessons including providing verbal and written support plans for mainstream teachers and other support staff. • Work as a part of a team with both teaching and support staff, manage the ARP support staff and participate in their performance reviews as required.
