Horizon Teachers is looking to appoint a Science/Maths Teaching Assistant to work within a dynamic and well committed Learning Support Department. The position is a temporary contract to start in September 2019 in an Excellent Secondary School in Southwark. The successful candidate will be based in the SEN department supporting both the Science and Maths Departments and will be support small groups of KS3/4 pupils with their education and understanding of each subject and enable them to achieve potential.
This Secondary School is an average sized school with a 6th form. All students are making excellent progress. The school received Outstanding' grading by Ofsted in 2009. The SENCO is looking for a candidate who can bring proactivity/ flexibility and be a good team member for highly successful department.
The successful candidate will need to be confident, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate the ability to work with KS3/KS4. You will have experience, commitment and ability to work with students, parents or carers, teaching and support staff as well as other agencies. The school offers a solid CPD program and give the opportunity for the schools direct program for future teachers. You will need a DBS check less than 3 years old or be willing to do a new on quickly with us.
