Have you considered working within an SEN provision within a mainstream school? Want to work on a 1:2:1 basis supporting learners with additional needs? We are currently working with an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) within a mainstream school. The role is part time, long term and begins from the September term. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support learners with autism.

The school is located in Lambeth and is graded 'Good' by Ofsted. They offer exciting approaches to learning that involve and bring out the best in their young people. All learners are provided with a tailored learning environment where additional needs will have their learning requirements met through individual programmes.

The Head teacher and senior management are looking for a committed and dedicated teaching assistant to join their school.

In particular they are looking for the following:

However, there is a potential to continue throughout the remainder of the academic year. The School Horizon Teachers are working with a small school in two locations within Southwark. Part Time LSA - Supporting ASD

You will need to observe the behaviour of the students and intervene if needed to do so. You will also be asked to do a lunch duty in the halls. You will patrol and make sure that everyone is safe and happy (stop any dangerous behaviour, fighting, bullying and help with upset or hurt students).
