Have you considered working within an SEN provision within a mainstream school? Want to work on a 1:2:1 basis supporting learners with additional needs? We are currently working with an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) within a mainstream school. The role is part time, long term and begins from the September term. The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support learners with autism.

The school is located in Lambeth and is graded 'Good' by Ofsted. They offer exciting approaches to learning that involve and bring out the best in their young people. All learners are provided with a tailored learning environment where additional needs will have their learning requirements met through individual programmes.

The Head teacher and senior management are looking for a committed and dedicated teaching assistant to join their school.

In particular they are looking for the following:

  • Have experience of working with children/young people in some capacity
  • Be willing to learn and develop their knowledge and skills
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be a team player
  • Be positive and enjoy a challenge

Behavior Mentor - Year 6

A school in the Merton borough are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a student in Year 6 with delayed learning and behavioural needs. About the role: You will be working 1:1 with a boy in Year 6, He can be very challenging as he has delayed learning and is working at a significantly lower level to her peers. He challenges authority and can be verbally and physically abusive. Experience of working with children with SEN is essential The majority of your time will be spent in the classroom however they may be times you will be working with the child alone on a one to one basis. This is a full time position to start immediately and will last until the end of the academic year About the school: A good school in Merton serving the diverse community. A special School based in East London for pupils aged 11 to 19 who have severe learning difficulties are looking for a Learning Support Mentor to work on a Full time, Long term basis from 17th September. This is a part time term time only role. It is to work 27 hours a week spread over 4 days.    The school is an Ofsted Good School and has been recognised in the local area for the quality of support it offers all of its students.
