Music Teacher Part time (3 days per week)

We are currently working with an Outstanding Primary School in Greenwich that have come to us in need of a Music Specialist to join the school on a permanent basis, this will be a part time role to begin ASAP ideally, however they are happy for the successful applicant to serve a notice period if needed.

In this role you will be expected to develop the music curriculum across KS1 and KS2, meaning that applicants must have knowledge of the current music curriculum and must be confident in implementing improvements to the current in school curriculum. The successful applicant will also be expected to plan and provide extra curricular activities, such as organising the school band, instrument lessons etc. A big focus for this role will be to promote performing arts in the school, including singing assemblies, singing lessons and classroom activities with a musical focus.

While a teaching responsibility will be expected in this role, QTS is not essential (but will be admired by the school) applicants must have the confidence of planning, preparing and teaching lessons to classes of up to 30 students at a time. Ideally applicants will have experience organising musical events, musical lessons, choirs etc.
