JOB DESCRIPTION

A cooperative trust special school for children aged 4-16 with complex social, communication and interaction difficulties including autism are looking for an outstanding Primary Classroom Teacher to join their team permanently from Easter 2019. This position is suitable for NQT's but is advised that some an understanding and experience working with children with special needs.

The School:
The school is an all-through special school for children with a range of special educational needs. The majority of pupils have social and communication difficulties include autism. The school moved location to a new purpose build building with outstanding facilities which have provided new and exciting opportunities for enriching the curriculum and learning.

The Role:
This is a full time position for an outstanding primary classroom teacher with teaching responsibility for a class of primary age learning and subject leadership of two foundation subject (to be negotiated). The school are looking for an enthusiastic and creative teacher to join their raising standards for their learners. This post will involve teaching, care and pastoral responsibilities for a class or primary learners and is ideal for a classroom practitioner looking to develop their teaching career in special education.

You must already be:
• An outstanding classroom teacher with primary mainstream or special school teaching experience.
• You must be proactive, resourceful and energetic.

Are you a forward thinking and devoted teacher? A Primary School in Barking and Dagenham are currently looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to start in January 2019, the position is full time and 'on going', the position will then go permanent for the right person. The position is based in the brand new ARP attached to the mainstream primary school, the provision caters for primary aged children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder and Emotional Behavioural difficulties. The school is extremely supportive and has great training and development opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities • To deliver the Key stage 2 National Curriculum to a range of needs and abilities, the class has 12 children ranging from year 3 to 6. • Treat pupils with dignity, and provide a safe, positive and stimulating environment in which pupils feel encouraged to learn. • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons, as well as using a wide variety of strategies to meet differing learning styles. • Manage the inclusion of the ARP children into mainstream lessons including providing verbal and written support plans for mainstream teachers and other support staff. • Work as a part of a team with both teaching and support staff, manage the ARP support staff and participate in their performance reviews as required.
