Horizon Teachers is currently looking for a Behaviour mentor to work in a challenging Inner London School located in Haringey. The role is to support make students at the school who require extra support within the classroom setting. This is a long term role and would be incredibly rewarding for the right individual. 

The Role;

  • Providing behaviour support to Male students from year 7 to 11. 
  • Acting as a role model for students around the school.
  • Support in lessons where directed by the teaching staff and SENCO. 
  • Providing direction during social time and after school where directed
  • Delivering targeted interventions to groups of students about positive behaviour and appropriate behaviour. 

The School as instructed by Ofsted is "Good" in every area. Staff at the school work closely together and support students to achieve the best they possibly can. Results at the school are above average for the borough and staff retention is good. This role has opened due to the need to support some additional students.

Part time SEN Learning Support Mentor

£65 - £95 per day
Part time SEN Learning Support Mentor  A Primary School for children with ASD & Multiple Learning Difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism based in South West London are seeking an experienced Special Education Needs Learning Support Mentor part time and long term from the May half term. About the school: There are two sites at this Special School, a Nursery and KS2 site. At Key Stage 2 pupils follow a curriculum that incorporates individual learning needs and offers a learning environment that is engaging and fun. The curriculum is topic focused and pupils engage in learning through exciting new themes, lessons are linked to the theme and support learning across all subject areas. Pupils in our assessment nursery, reception classes and through KS1 follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum The curriculum is implemented through both teacher led and child-initiated learning as appropriate for the needs of individual pupils. The EYFS curriculum offers a focus on the prime areas of learning, alongside continuous provision which promotes skills in the Prime and Specific areas through a play based approach. Enrichment days are planned half termly to enhance learning, through first hand experiences. Days are planned with a focused curriculum area in mind. Pupils have the opportunity to access a range of facilities to enhance learning opportunities both in school and within the local community including- hydro pool, soft play, horse riding and sailing. SEN Learning Mentor

£65 - £95 per day
A growing number of children and young people in the UK are being identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN) whether academic, physical, mental health/medical or behavioural. Many improvements have been made to support children within specialist provisions such as Complex Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs). These developments have led to an increase in the demand for qualified Teachers. They are particularly interested in recruiting someone who has a creative arts background including Drama/Art/Dance and someone ideally with some Special Education Needs (SEN) experience in any capacity. Learning Support Mentor required for a Special Education Needs School in South West London. The specialist school caters for pupils with a statements of Special Education Needs (SEN) including Moderate Learning Needs, Speech and Language Difficulties, associated learning behaviours and those with an additional diagnosis of Autism.
