This is a small and friendly independent special school for pupils aged 5-16 years who have Autism, additional learning difficulties and complex needs, based in North London and easily assessable via public transport. The school is designed to meet the needs of the pupils and there is an on-site Multi-Disciplinary Team including a Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist and a Music Therapist.

What does the role entail?
The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 4 class, you will be working alongside the class teacher and two other support staff. The team and whole faculty is very supportive, you will also have the option of additional training and courses.
The positon is full time, 5 days a week from 8:30am to 4:00pm, the role offers a daily rate between £60 and £75. The school are looking for someone who can commit until the end of the academic year, for someone who is devoted to pupil development and keen to get involved in all aspects of school life. As a teaching assistant it will be important that you can support pupils in all lessons, when swimming, at lunch times and also during therapy sessions when needed. It is important to the school that you are passionate about working in complex needs and also have a real understanding of special needs.
This is a great opportunity for a mainstream or graduate teaching assistant as well as an experienced SEN teaching assistant looking for a new challenge.
