The ability to work with and improve the behaviour of students is essential for this exciting role. As a member of support staff you would be working with challenging secondary school pupils on a daily basis.
This rewarding role is to supervise and work in this secondary school and maintain their internal behaviour unit. This is a temporary role with the opportunity for successful individuals to be offered a permanent contract in the future.
The school is located in North London, with excellent transport links and staff parking this school is easily accessible to all. The school has been graded as Good by Ofsted and staff enjoy the lively and progressive environment.
Below is a brief description of the role.
§To provide daily supervision of students in the Exclusion Room.
§ To improve the behaviour of students by providing a proactive approach and immediate response to any behavioural issues.
§ To support punctuality and behaviour of all students by the running of detentions.
§ To effectively manage and ensure the consistent smooth running of the school's internal exclusion room, exercising highly developed negotiating and interpersonal skills to ensure the appropriate behaviour of potentially demanding students.
§ To provide appropriate pastoral support to all students, parents/carers and staff within the school.
§ To implement restorative approaches to improving student behaviour
