Design and Technology Subject Leader
Start Date: September 2018
Area: North London
Age range: Key Stage 3 and 4
Type: 4-16 mixed school with over 800 students.
Salary: MPS/UPS plus TLR

We are looking to recruit a well-qualified, enthusiastic and ambitious Design and Technology Teacher for a North London mixed foundation school where you will lead and manage the Design and Technology subject area.

The right candidate for this role will be a confident, organised and career motivated teacher with either Subject Leader experience or the desire to progress their career into middle management. The school is looking for a candidate who is up for the challenge of helping disadvantaged students achieve their full potential. Disadvantage should not be a barrier to opportunity or the academic advancement of the student.

The role will include the teaching of Resistant Materials, Product Design, Textiles and Graphics across KS3 and KS4 and across all ability ranges, providing leadership and staff management, developing and creating strategies to increase student engagement and enrichment and demonstrating a commitment to attaining high standards of student achievement.

The Design and Technology team plays an important role within the school community as it gives many of the student's opportunities to aspire to goals that are outside that of academia. You will be working with a forward thinking Administration team and will have opportunities to access a wide range of CDP training and progression program opportunities.

Interviews will be given to successful candidates

If interested in this role you must have the following:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or overseas trained.
