This friendly all girls school located in Haringey is looking for an outstanding teacher of Design Technology to join their hard working successful department. This is a Temp to Perm role to start in September 2019. The school will look to take on a permanent member of staff in January 2020.
The school has an excellent reputation in the local area and students continue to progress well at GCSE and also A Level. The headteacher is visible around the school and with the support of strong senior leadership team has raised standards and these have been embedded throughout the school.
The school is now looking for a teacher of Design Technology who is able to work part time, 3 or 4 days a week who is able to teach up to GCSE and deliver resistant materials alongside either product design, textiles or food technology. The timetable is split over two weeks and you will be teaching KS3 and KS4 students.
The ideal candidate will be able to; plan and deliver high quality lessons to students of all abilities, have experience of progressing students to achieve at GCSE and be able to motivate students in all areas of design technology. Having experience of teaching Design Technology at KS5 would be an advantage but is not essential.
Within the School Design Technology is taught in modern, purpose built well equipped workshops. The department is led by an experienced head of department and all teachers are supported by a dedicated technician who maintains the equipment and organises materials when needed. Results at GCSE in recent years have been high and students have achieved more high level grades than in other subject areas.
