A popular Primary school in North West London are seeking an experienced SENCO to cover maternity leave from September 2018. The post will be initially for 1 term with the likelihood of the placement being extended into the following term. This is a non-teaching role where you will be required for 3-4 days per week. However the school have offered applicants the opportunity to work full time (if preferred) making up the rest of the week with PPA cover across the school.

A proportion of students may have either a learning, physical, emotional/behavioural or special need which require special support or provision over the long or short term. Their needs are identified and assessed according to the national code of practice and help is provided in school or sometimes from outside agencies for those who need it.

The Headteacher is currently recruiting for a SENCO to cover a period of maternity leave.

• The national awards for SEN coordination (NASENCO)
• A proven track record of success within a SENCO position or be an experienced SEN teacher who is confident to take on the role of SENCO
• The ability to adapt to the role and school ethos immediately
• Leadership and teamwork skills
