A Pupil Referral Unit are currently looking for a number of Learning Mentors to join their existing team, the PRU is based in North London. They have a positive outlook and aim to provide opportunities for all pupils to learn and achieve their full potential. They need someone who is passionate, enthusiastic and preferably has previous experience working in a PRU setting.

The school are looking for someone who is flexible in regards to days they can work and also because the PRU has a few sites across North London. The sites differ in Key Stages, capacity and needs however all sites offer a stable and nurturing environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is currently studying or working part time! This is also a great way for you to build on your school experience and a foundation for obtaining SEN knowledge to assist with Teacher Training courses you may consider in the future.

Learning Support Assistant - Complex Needs School in South West London

£65 - £75 per day
Learning Support Mentor required for a Special Education Needs School in South West London. The specialist school caters for pupils with a statements of Special Education Needs (SEN) including Moderate Learning Needs, Speech and Language Difficulties, associated learning behaviours and those with an additional diagnosis of Autism.   This is a Full time, Long term position starting on 10th September (or ASAP) and continuing until the end of the academic year, term time only. The successful applicant will work 8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday. You will be based in a Key Stage 2 class supporting pupils with a range of SEN.     The main aim of the school is to equip pupils with life skills in order for them to achieve their potential and develop the greatest degree of independence in communication, social competence, thinking and learning and sensory regulation as far as possible for each person. The school’s facilities are funded well and have a range of sensory resources and well-equipped large classrooms. Lessons are planned and communicated well between class teachers and teaching assistants and well-resourced. Communication Support Worker

This is a full time and long term role starting immediately. The School are looking to appoint an experienced Communication Support Worker with, or working towards, BSL (British Sign Language) level 3 and above to work primarily with students using BSL in order to access the Primary National Curriculum.
