Horizon Teachers is currently working with a well-known mixed secondary school in the borough of Brent who are looking for a Science technician to join their successful staffing team on a part time basis (22 Hours this can be spread across 3-5 days with flexible start and finish times)
The school is a popular oversubscribed, mixed school with more than 1200 students, they are committed to the highest standards in all they do and they set themselves challenging targets, they invest heavily in maintaining a high quality of teaching and learning which continues to impact upon the academic performance of their students, their main aim is that all students achieve their full potential in every aspect of their school experience including their comprehensive range of curricular and extra-curricular subjects offered.
As a Science technician you will prepare equipment and materials for lessons, maintain the laboratories and apparatus, to support the teaching and learning of the students, you will also be required to prepare chemicals and biological solutions and support practical’s whilst working efficiently and accurately.
Noted in their latest Ofsted report ‘School leaders at all levels work closely together to ensure that whole-school initiatives are implemented consistently across all subjects, pupils arrive at the school with levels of attainment in line with the national average, A number of effective changes to the provision of pupils who have special educational needs or disabilities is having a positive impact on the progress these pupils make’
