Are you an experienced and passionate cover supervisor who is looking for a flexible new job role for 2018?

Here at Horizon teachers we are looking for proactive and enthusiastic cover supervisors to work in a number in an Ofsted graded ‘Outstanding’ secondary school based in Harrow North West London.
They pride themselves on training and development of all their staff so that students are taught effectively and supported within and beyond the classroom to the highest levels, school leaders at all levels are well-equipped to use their professional judgement and a wide range of information to challenge and engage all students to achieve success, identify underachievement act upon it and help students get back on track.

Noted in their last Ofsted report ‘Teaching is consistently good and often outstanding, Teachers generate high expectations by making students feel confident that they can all be successful, lessons combine hard work and enjoyment, excellent relationships between staff and students, and amongst students, underpin the extremely harmonious atmosphere whatever their ethnic background, students get on well together, Students are keen to learn and to join in all the activities on offer, their behaviour is outstanding, particularly in the older year groups, they mature into thoughtful, considerate and hard-working young adults’.

To be successful in your application you must have the following;

  • Excellent organisation and supportive skills
  • Experience of working with 11-16 year olds in a school setting
  • A legal right to work in the UK
  • Fantastic behaviour management
  • A passion for student development
  • Willingness to work flexibly according to the needs of the school

Your duties for this role will consist of the following:

  • Being a positive role model to all students at all times
  • Helping to maintain discipline in the school
  • Cover classes following lesson plans
  • Helping to ensure good learning takes place in every lesson

This role is due to start ASAP and will be on an Ad-Hoc basis dependant on the needs of the school, the role is also a great opportunity for anyone who may be thinking about becoming a teacher in the future as the skills and experience you will gain will be invaluable.
