Horizon Teachers are working with a highly respected, high achieving Outstanding School located in North West London who is looking for Graduates to work as Graduate Interns and Cover Supervisors.
The role is that of a Cover Supervisor, you will be working across the school supervising lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in a secondary school or who is thinking about teaching in the future. We want to hear from you if you are able to support and motivate students throughout the curriculum.
The school is nationally recognised for its excellence, having been graded as an `Outstanding` school in its last 3 Ofsted reports as well as link with the community. Staff at the school work together and a sense of team is present in every department.
Current cover supervisors (of which there are 4) at the school use their degree knowledge to work in all departments. Teaching staff utilise the knowledge of cover supervisors enabling them to progress higher level students to achieve higher grades. You may also be tasked within specific departments on a regular basis to further increase your skills.
Cover Supervisors at the school are led through an extensive training programme. Weekly sessions guide you through up to date legislation as well as new initiatives. Training is comprehensive and has seen many individuals progress to Schools Direct training to take up a career in teaching.
This role would suit recent graduates who is looking to gain experience in a secondary school before applying to teacher training. Applicants must have a desire to help, be adaptable, be motivated and have the ability to impart knowledge to pupils of all ages.
