Horizon Teacher are currently working with a PRU based in Brent who are looking a Construction Teacher to join their Applied Learning Team delivering theory and practical lessons in construction and the construction industry as a whole, teaching 14-18 year old full-time students.
In the role you will be required to deliver Year 11 (BTEC Level 2) up to Year 13 (BTEC Level 3) as well as assessing and monitoring students' progress in line with examination requirements to a small class of students who are working their way to obtain their qualifications in Construction. The students who will be attending the course will be of mixed gender with challenging behaviour.
The School /PRU caters for students aged between 14-19 years that are unable to perform well in a mainstream school due to their behaviour. They currently have 70 students on role and in their last Ofsted earlier this year they were reviewed as 'good' in all areas.
This role is perfect for current teachers, as well as people from within the industry. Our ideal candidate will have specialist knowledge in the sector, and a degree-level qualification in Building Services Engineering in addition to strong IT skills.You'll be equipped with all the necessary support to plan and deliver Construction and Building Services courses to our students.
