Learning Support Assistant (KS1) - Brent - Long Term Role

Horizon Teachers are currently working with a friendly, caring primary school in Brent, who are looking for a LSA to join their team immediately.

The role:
·Full time position (8:15 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily)
·One to one support for a boy in Year 2 with social and emotional needs
·Paid weekly (£70 - £108 per day dependent on experience)

You:
·Hold a relevant DBS (ideally registered on the Update Service)
·Nurturing with a strong desire to release the potential of pupils with special needs
·Consistent approach with the ability to set boundaries and give praise

Learning Support Assistant - KS1

£60 - £80 per day
Learning Support Assistant - Year 1 Horizon Teachers are working closely with a Primary School in Brent, who are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to join them starting in January. You will be supporting a child in a Year 1 class who has Autism. Depending on the timetable, there may be periods of time where you are required to work as a general TA, or support other children on a 1:1 basis. ABOUT YOU• Prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant within a Primary School• Experience of working within KS1 (desired)• Hard working and flexible• Committed to supporting and enhancing the education of the child • A good sense of humour! The position is available from January 2019, but there may be the option for you to start the role early in order to become acquainted with the child and the school before the new term. You will benefit from working with an extremely supportive and dedicated Headteacher, who is passionate about offering development opportunities to those you want to progress in their career. Initially, this position will begin on a temporary basis, with the salary being between £60 and £80 per day, depending on your experience. There may be an opportunity for a permanent contract in the future. LSA/Learning Mentor - ELSA Trained

£60 - £90 per day
Learning Mentor - Learning Support Assistant - with ELSA training We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, who is ELSA (emotional literacy support assistant) trained to work with a Primary School near Clapham. ABOUT THE ROLEYou will spend approximately half of your week using your ELSA training to work as a Learning Mentor, running with small group sessions and working with children on a 1:1 basis. The rest of your week will be spent supporting a child with an SEN/D of SEMH. This child will also benefit greatly from your ELSA training. In the future, the plan is for the role to move to being more focused on the ELSA/Learning Mentor aspect. This is a full time role and is available for an ASAP start. Initially, the roll will be temporary, but there is potential for a permanent contract to be offered in the future.
