We are currently excited to be working with a friendly community based "Good" school in East London who are in need of a Food Technology Technician to work within and support their outstanding Food Technology Department. The role is a Food Technology Technician and will be a term time only position supporting lessons in the Food Technology department. This is a temporary position with the potential for a permanent contract in September 2018.

The Technology Faculty is supported by a two full-time Technicians one based in Food and the other in Design & Technology. Technicians organise teaching materials, provide assistance in lessons and organises resources including placing orders. The facilities and resources are outstanding and include interactive whiteboards in all classrooms. Food technology lessons are taught in modern well equipped classrooms. As the department technician you will provide support and be responsible for maintaining the learning environment as well as supporting in lessons as directed.

The ideal Food Technology Technician will;
• Have experience in the catering world or have in school experience as a Food Technology Technician.
• Have a Positive and forward looking attitude to work

• Be Organised and methodically minded in your work?
• Be enthusiastic and hard working?

This is a full time position, the role will be for a term in the first instance with the possibility of a longer term role. The role would suit someone looking to start working in schools or someone who has previous experience as a Science technician who is looking for a new challenge. Implementation and dissemination of all appropriate H & S legislation and guidance with respect to science education, including C.O.S.H.H.To ensure that statutory safety regulations and safe practice is complied with. Assisting with daily and weekly laboratory servicing, termly inspections and annual clean.
