Horizon Teachers is currently working with a large Mixed Academy in Newham that is looking for a Cover Supervisor.

Horizon Teachers want to talk to anyone interested in working with us as a cover supervisor. This role is a term time role with working hours set at 8.30am-3pm.

The role of cover supervisor will involve teaching a range of lessons for different subjects, but if you have a subject specialism the school are happy to support you in developing close ties with specific departments in order to make the most of your skills. As a cover supervisor at you will be part of a core team of 4 cover supervisors, you will also be fully involved in the life of the school. You will attend staff meetings, teacher training sessions and support during break and lunchtimes when necessary.

The school is fully committed to ensuing pupils receive the best quality lessons whether their normal classroom teacher is there or not. The school will therefore provide support for cover supervisors to ensure they have the same opportunities to improve their classroom practice as classroom teachers do.

The role is a full time permanent role and will consist of various roles at the school.

The school is rated as Good' by Ofsted and was noted for its exceptional students and the progress that was being made in lessons. Staff at the school are friendly and departments work well together to provide students with an excellent level of education. Staff training is also excellent with a programme of CPD on offer and also opportunities for staff to progress and be promoted.
