This fabulous school in East London is looking to appoint a teacher of PE who is able to teach mixed PE at KS3 and 4. This is a full time permanent position and the school are looking for someone who is able to start in September or possibly sooner.

The school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and well organised teacher who will be able to effectively contribute towards raising the PE faculty to the next level.

The PE department is an enthusiastic and incredibly successful team led by an experienced head of department who has built an inclusive and hardworking team of teachers. The department who deliver a wide range of sports at the school through a well-designed and resourced curriculum. The school offer BTEC and GCSE at KS4, results are high and the subject is oversubscribed each year.

The facilities at the school are excellent, lessons are taught across the school and facilities include the large multi-use sports hall, a full size Astroturf, outside courts, fitness suite and a dedicated ICT classroom. The school also has large playing fields which are used in lessons and for fixtures throughout the year. Activities taught in lessons are seasonal and depend on the year group. Lessons are taught in single sex groups and the successful teacher will be teaching girls PE.

The school itself has many outstanding features. They have achieved Outstanding in their last three Ofsted inspections, they were seen to be outstanding in every area, special mentions were also given to the students behaviour and attainment that shone through the inspection. Students are calm, respectful and conscientious around the school. Academic achievement is high with 70% of students achieving A* - C including English and Maths.
