Are you looking for a Geography teaching position to start in September 2018 or sooner?

Horizon Teachers in partnership with an Outstanding School in Redbridge are currently looking to recruit a Teacher of Geography. The successful Teacher of Geography will be joining an expanding Humanities department. This is a full time role to teach Geography to KS3, 4 and 5. You will be teaching GCSE as well as have the opportunity to teach A Level. The school are looking for high quality teachers and will be willing to pay one or two scale points higher for strong teachers.

The School

The school is looking to employ a newly qualified Geography teacher who has who is able to engage, progress and motivate students of all abilities. This is an ambitious role and for the right teacher will provide the opportunity to grow and experience teaching in a good school where the ambitions of all are clear. The SLT at the school are dedicated to improving the school further and an outstanding grade is in their sights. Progress at the school is good and the progress 8 score is in line with other school of the same size and catchment. Staff at the school were judged as outstanding and the pupil’s behaviour is always excellent. Staff are respected by all students and lessons are conducted in spacious well-resourced classrooms.

The Department

The Geography department consists of 3 full time teachers under the leadership of the Head of Department. The Teachers are passionate about Geography and are looking to welcome another teacher due to rising student numbers. Extra-curricular activities take place throughout the year and annual field trips are enjoyed by all students taking Geography at GCSE and A Level. There will be the opportunity for progression within the school and this is encouraged.
