Horizon Teachers is working on a fantastic opportunity for an English teacher who is looking to move up into management position.  The school is looking to appoint an outstanding English practitioner to take over as Head of Department.  The school is ever expanding, currently in its third year with intake increasing each year.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an English teacher to progress their career as a school grows.  The school believe in High quality teaching and learning for all students, a culture of positive behaviour and they believe in building high aspirations for all students.  They are passionate about the high quality education that students are entitled to, and provide them with the chance at success in life.

You will be a well-qualified, highly motivated teacher of English who has a proven record of outstanding and effective classroom practice.  You will be looking for either your first Head of Department role or your next HoD post.  You will have experience teaching English to a wide range of students, from Key Stage 3 up to A level, and show to ability to lead a department.  You will need to show initiative when it comes to making changes within the department and the curriculum, and be able to provide support to your team to aid student development and progress. You will have ideas on how to continue the success of the department and make changes in areas that require improvement.

Head of Science

£28,000 - £48,000 per annum
Head of Science  Romford Permanent position MPS/UPS + negotiable TLR Start - January 2019 or sooner   Horizon Teachers is currently working on an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of Science to progress into a Head of Science role. The role is to work in the heart of Romford at this friendly community based school located within walking distance of the centre of Romford. The school wish to appoint a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking for some progression or an experienced head of science to join and lead their progressive department.  The Head Teacher would like to employ a dedicated Science Teacher or experience head of department who is able to enthuse, motivate and progress students of all ability. Within Science students are taught in mixed ability groups at KS3 and for GCSE students are put into streamed groups.
