Are you an enthusiastic and experienced teacher of English who is looking for an exciting opportunity in a secondary school?

Horizon Teachers is working with a fantastic school in Hackney, who are looking for an experienced English teacher to join their busy and passionate department. The school has just had massive refurbishment and have moved into a brand new building which has a lot of new technologies to help improve practice and engage pupils in their studies. This mixed school aims to be the first choice school for parents in the borough and boasts a proud and diverse student body who strive for excellence in all that they do. As a teacher of English, you will be engaging in both key stage 3 and 4 English. You will be expected to deliver high quality lessons, and in return the school offers incredible CPD development; guest speakers will appear at the school to help the consistent improvement of teacher practice across the school to ensure all students are achieving the maximum potential they have. As a member of the department, you will be asked to take part in discussions on how to continue the improvement of the English curriculum and will be encouraged to take part in curriculum planning, and joint planning time will all you to work with your department to discuss different teaching techniques for you to try.
