Are you an experienced and qualified Physical education teacher looking for a new and exciting role within an outstanding rated secondary school?

Horizon teachers is currently working alongside an outstanding secondary school based in Redbridge who are looking to appoint a passionate P.E teacher to join their successful staffing team to cover maternity leave.
They pride themselves on setting clear ambitious goals while rigorously monitoring their progress in achieving them, ensuring that all students, teachers, staff and parents commit full to making the school a vibrant learning community while employing an approach to teaching that instils knowledge, understanding and a desire to learn.

To be considered for this role you must have the following;

  • Hold a valid QTS or be overseas trained
  • Experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
  • Passion for sports
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Up to date knowledge of the curriculum
  • Strong organisational and time management skills

Your daily duties will consist of the following

  • Liaising with senior staff when required
  • Monitoring student progression on a daily basis
  • Planning and delivering P.E lessons to the highest standard
  • Providing a positive environment in which students can learn
  • Being a positive role models for students at all times
  • Establishing and maintaining discipline in the classroom

The pay for this great opportunity is set at £125 - £200 Per day dependant on experience, this fantastic opportunity is due to start Easter term and will be to cover 3 terms.

You will be teaching PE to Key Stages 3-5 and to enthusiastic students of all abilities. The department is led by a HOD that is supportive and encouraging. The teachers in the department have worked together for a number of years. This is a part-time role for 3 days a week.
