Are you a newly qualified or experienced religious education teacher looking for a new and exciting role for the year 2018?

Horizon teachers is currently looking for a passionate Religious education teacher with a real passion for religious studies to work in a purpose built all through school based in Redbridge.
You will be joining an ambitious staffing team who are keen to improve on an exceed previous success year on year, last year they saw 67% of their students achieving A*- C grades.

Noted by Ofsted in their latest report ‘Teachers make their lessons enjoyable and challenging for all pupils which enables them to move learning forward rapidly, By carefully checking progress of each pupil the school is able to identify where additional support is need, pupils at all levels feel very safe and secure because of the support provided through the academic and care teams in each group’.

To be considered for this role you must have the following;

  • Experience of teaching Religious Studies to KS3/KS4 Standards
  • A Level qualification in Religious Studies
  • Hold a valid QTS or be overseas trained
  • NQT’s may be considered
  • A proven record of classroom progression
  • Experience of teaching engaging lessons on a daily basis

Your daily duties will consist of the following;

  • Planning and delivering science lessons to the highest standard
  • Establishing and maintaining discipline in the class
  • Being a positive role model at all times
  • Monitoring student progression on a daily basis
  • Assigning work, correcting and marking work carried out
  • Providing a positive environment in which students can learn
  • Liaising with senior staff when needed

The salary in place for this fantastic opportunity is £26,662 - £37,645 Dependent on experience with the right teacher to start immediately.
