Are you a qualified and experienced, passionate teacher of Maths who is looking for a new exciting challenge this year?

Horizon Teachers is currently working with an outstanding school based in Redbridge who are looking for a passionate Maths teacher to join their ambitious and successful staffing team.
The school has a clear vision to set clear, ambitious goals and rigorously monitor their progress in achieving them, offering a curriculum emphasising core academic subjects, while providing the facilities and specialist staff to meet and stimulate a wider range of interests.

To be successful in your application you must have the following;

  • Experience of teaching engaging Maths lessons
  • A proven record of classroom progression
  • Hold a valid QTS or be overseas trained

  • Ability to engage with and inspire young people
  • Passion for Maths as a subject

Your daily duties for this role will consist of the following;

  • Planning and delivering Maths lessons to the highest standard
  • Establishing and maintaining discipline in the class
  • Being a positive role model at all times
  • Monitoring student progression on a daily basis
  • Assigning work, marking and correcting work carried out
  • Providing a positive environment in which students can learn
  • Liaising with senior staff when needed
  • Attending school assemblies and when required.

The pay for this great opportunity is set at £140 - £210 per day depending on experience with the right person able to start in March.
This opportunity is initially until summer term but may be extended for the right person.

Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant

£65 - £95 per day
Horizon Teachers is recruiting Maths Graduates for Teaching Assistant Vacancies in London's Secondary Schools NOW!!  These schools are mainstream, secondary schools that are graded either 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted, and are located in each part of London... for example: East London (Tower Hamlets and Newham), South East London (Southwark, Lewisham and Bromley), South West and West London (Hounslow, Hammersmith and Wandsworth), North West London (Wembley), and North London (Islington and Enfield).  As a Maths Teaching Assistant you will work mainly in the Maths department. Your role will include a combination of 1-2-1 support in Maths classes to SEN pupils; withdrawing these pupils from class for small booster sessions; leading small Maths groups supporting pupils make progress; getting involved in Maths clubs. Your timetable could also include supporting in other subject classes too. Your timetable will ultimately be decided by the School's SENCo. TA roles in secondary schools are very varied and with all the departments, there are always opportunities to do new things, challenging yourself, and growing and learning at the same time. These roles are now part of the relied upon 'career model' for 100s of future Maths Teachers, so if you are thinking about Teacher Training in 2019..get in touch!  These roles are all ongoing, starting in September 2018, and continuing all academic year.
