JOB DESCRIPTION

A special school based in Wandsworth London for children aged 4 -16 with complex social, communication and interaction difficulties are seeking an SEND Teacher to join them from April. This post is open to NQTs.

The school is situated in a brand new multi-million pound building designed and built with the needs of the young people with complex needs very much in mind. The highly skilled and experienced staff team provides a very high standard of education and care to cater for each individual.

As staff member of the school you can expect:
• A wide range of therapists who provide support for pupils and expert guidance for staff including speech and language, occupational, art, music, play therapy and psychotherapeutic counselling
• Expert advice to the school, staff and parents providing expert advice on a range of issues such as behaviour and learning

Class Teacher - Complex Needs Secondary School

£140 - £225 per day
A secondary Complex Needs school based in Harlow, Essex and looking to appoint an experienced class teacher to join their team. Although experience is desirable, NQT's are very welcome to apply for this role. This is a long term position from September 2019. There will be an opportunity to lead a curriculum area for a suitable qualified candidate who has the willingness to work with all ages across their school. It is essential to be proactive, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children with their academic development and personal progression.The school are looking for a practitioner who:- Have a dedicated interest in working with students with a wide and diverse range of Special Needs.- Are adaptable, versatile and have the ability to deliver engaging and informative lessons to students of all abilities. - Have good classroom management, strong behaviour management and excellent interpersonal skills. Your main duties will be: - Planning, teaching, assessing and recordings provision for a broad, balanced and appropriate curriculum including the national curriculum. - Teaching and planning differentiated lessons that accredited to meet the demands of the students educational needs- Maintain close links with parents and the SLT- Teach a subject specialism, and support in leading a subject specialism.- Plan for and direct the work of your team of learning support assistants.- Work as part of an inter-disciplinary team with parents/carers, health education and social care professionals, therapists and visiting specialist for the benefit of pupils wellbeing and educational progress.
