A Special School in South East London are currently looking for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them from September 2019. This position will be full time, long term and the position will go permanent for the right person.

• Full Time and Long Term
• Start Date: 02/09/2019
• HLTA in a Key Stage 1 class
• Supporting children with ASD and PMLD
• Daily pay rate: £80 - £115

This School caters for children between the ages of three and eleven, a significant number of pupils have a diagnosis of autism (ASD), there is also pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). The school offers a personalised and adapted curriculum that is designed to meet the very individual requirements of their pupils. The school have excellent and up to date facilities that allow the children to succeed in a safe and secure environment, there is a fun and motivating atmosphere therefore it is important for the HLTA to have a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

There is a large and supportive faculty, all Teachers and Support Staff are passionate and devoted to the education of the pupils, the current teaching team have specialist training, expertise, knowledge and skills in the field of Special Educational Needs, the school are looking for someone similar to join them!

The successful HLTA must have/be:

• Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant and/or have a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with/supporting ASD, SLD and PMLD
• Happy to commit full time until the end of the academic year (July 2020)
• Be passionate and enthusiastic about working with children
• Confident in leading activities and pre planned lessons
