Horizon Teachers is currently working on an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Teacher of Science to progress into a Head of Science role. The role is to work in the heart of Romford at this friendly community based school located within walking distance of the centre of Romford. The school wish to appoint a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking for some progression or an experienced head of science to join and lead their progressive department. 

The Head Teacher would like to employ a dedicated Science Teacher or experience head of department who is able to enthuse, motivate and progress students of all ability. Within Science students are taught in mixed ability groups at KS3 and for GCSE students are put into streamed groups. Specialisms are taught in individual lessons with Physics, Chemistry and Biology taught by specialists. As Head of Department you would be required to lead and set an example in the department. 

Science being a core subject has an outstanding status at the school. The department work collaboratively and staff share best practice. In recent years the standards in the department have risen and now the school wish to progress to the next level under new guidance. The Science labs are newly refurbished and allow students to work in state of the art rooms. The school has recently been renovated and investment is ongoing. This is a school on the up and staff and students are working together to achieve excellence.
