Horizon Teachers are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Head of MFL (French/Spanish specialist) to join an innovative and driven academy in Redbridge, in September 2018.

This academy was recently shortlisted for the TES Awards, for Secondary School of the Year 2018, and was graded Outstanding' by Ofsted in its first ever inspection. There are high expectations, a dedication to learning and a strong community spirit which influence every aspect of the school.

What will this role involve?
• Teaching Spanish/ French up to KS5
• Leading the development of a MFL curriculum that spans Year 7 to Year 13
• Line management of staff within the subject area; Spanish and French specialists
• Supporting and developing staff, including mentoring, coaching and providing CPD opportunities
• Opportunity to shape provision of languages in both the Primary and Post-16 phases

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status
• Be well qualified; hold a Degree in a relevant subject specialism
• A drive to improve student outcomes
• Strong leadership skills; you are adaptable, driven, hard working
• You are passionate and able to work well under pressure

The school are looking for a motivated Newly Qualified Teacher of Science who will be able to hit the ground running and be infectious with their passion for Science. Developments in the curriculum have allowed teachers to progress students and provide lessons that stimulate and excite. Teachers have access to and are able to use ICT suites to deliver interactive multimedia lessons and students are able to use these facilities to complete work in and out of lesson time. The Head of Science is now looking for a teacher of Science to join the team. The successful teacher must have experience of teaching General Science to KS3 and 4, the ability to teach at KS5 would be desirable but not essential. The school is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated teacher who has experience of delivering outstanding lessons and a record of developing student achievement. This role would ideally suit an NQT looking for their first teaching position. For all staff an extensive CPD programme is offered, NQTs will be supported throughout their induction year and training is offered weekly to ensure successful completion and rapid progression into their teaching career. The Induction year programme is excellent and will support NQTs at every stage of their development.
