Salary - £75 - £95 per day (based on experience)

Horizon Teachers are looking for passionate and motivated Graduates to embark on their journey into Education and work as Learning Support Assistants at some of South London’s best schools. This is an excellent opportunity to work in some of South London’s top academies, work alongside excellent teachers, develop skills that can be used in a future teaching career and engage with, motivate and make a difference to student’s achievement.
Horizon Teachers work in partnership with a number of schools and academies who are looking for motivated graduates who will be able to support students at the schools with a focus in English, Maths, Science or Humanities, however other subjects are welcome to apply. The position will suit graduates with recent degrees and strong A Levels. You will be working within different departments as directed by the Head of Department and the director of inclusion. The timetable will be to support students from year 7 through to year 11; you will experience GCSE teaching so this role would be ideal for anyone looking to progress into teaching in the future. You will support in class but also work with students in small targeted intervention groups.
Learning Support assistants at our schools/academies are provided with regular training sessions and continued professional development. The schools/academies may also be able to offer teacher training positions and current learning support assistants have benefitted from this and are moving into teacher training having completed a year as a learning support assistant. Due to this extensive training no school experience is needed but will be looked at favourably.
