Horizon Teachers seek an outstanding teacher to drive forward the MFL department and the teaching of French at the school. The school are looking for a passionate French Teacher to join their outstanding MFL department.

The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the continued strong performance of Modern Foreign Languages as specialising in French. You will be ensuring high quality teaching and that students progress in every lesson. You will be teaching KS3 and KS4 French only. Languages are taught by specialists so experience of Teaching French to KS3 and 4 is essential. The ability to teach GCSE French is also essential as this is a popular option subject.

The school is a small comprehensive, 11-16 school, located in Outer East London and is rich in history. As a French teacher you will
• be accountable for the standards attained by all students within your lessons
• Set high standards of expectations within your classroom
• plan and apply strategies/interventions that deliver rapid student progress
• ensure the delivery of effective teaching and learning that maximises individual progress
• ensure that within the MFL faculty the learning environment including facilities, health and safety and effective deployment of resources
