Early Years SEN Teacher

A Special Nursery based in Feltham for children with a range of severe and profound learning difficulties including those with an additional diagnosis of autism are seeking an SEN Teacher from September. The post is open to NQTs and Teachers with a mainstream background.

The School is an expanding school providing an exciting, innovative and personalised curriculum for all pupils across two sites. Each site is equipped with specialist support and facilities, appropriate to the age of the pupils. Classes are small and teaching staff work closely alongside support staff to meet the individual needs of our pupils

The Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teacher with a real passion for, and commitment to, teaching children with complex learning needs and who has a track record for good to outstanding teaching.

To succeed in your application you must:
• Hold QTS (or equivalent qualifications to teach in the UK)
• Enjoy the challenge of working with young people within a SEN environment
• Work well within a team and be supportive to colleagues
• Have a DBS (we can support with your application)

A growing number of children and young people in the UK are being identified as having Special Educational Needs (SEN) whether academic, physical, mental health/medical or behavioural. Many improvements have been made to support children within specialist provisions such as Complex Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units (PRUs).
