Food Technology and Textiles Teacher - Part Time
Start - 25th February 2019
Location - Newham
Salary - £145 - £200 per day
Duration - February to August 2019
Temporary to Permanent position

This friendly Secondary School located in Newham is looking for an outstanding teacher of Design Technology who is a specialist in Food Technology and Textiles to join their hard working successful DT department.

The school has an excellent reputation in the local area, it has been judged as a Good school by Ofsted and the Head Teacher is now looking to appoint a Design Technology Teacher. Results at the school are good at GCSE. The Head Teacher is visible around the school and with the support of strong senior leadership team has maintained standards and these have been embedded throughout the school. The school is a successful, multicultural comprehensive school providing a quality education to all of its students. The school are looking to appoint a passionate and outstanding teacher of Design Technology who is able to work part time, 3 or 4 days a week. The ideal teacher will be able to teach Food Technology and Textiles to GCSE level. The timetable is split over two weeks and you will be teaching KS3 and KS4 students across both Food Technology and Textiles.

The ideal candidate will be able to; plan and deliver high quality lessons to students of all abilities, have experience of progressing students to achieve at GCSE and be able to motivate students in all areas of design technology. Having experience of teaching Design Technology at KS5 would be an advantage but is not essential as there is no KS5 teaching in this position.

Within the School Design Technology is taught in modern, purpose built well equipped workshops. The department is led by an experienced head of department and all teachers are supported by a dedicated technician who maintains the equipment and organises materials when needed.

• Are able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice

£140 - £210 per day
DT Teacher (Graphics & RM) Enfield Easter 2019 Mixed 11-18 £140 - £210 per day Are you an experienced design technology teacher who is looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Horizon Teachers is currently working with a multi-cultural 11-19 mixed comprehensive school meeting the diverse needs of the local community, they are a National Leadership School whose senior staff share expertise with other schools around the country.
