Design Technology Teacher
Hospitality and Graphics teaching

Location: Wandsworth
Job Type: Long term. Full time

Salary: £140- £210 per day depending on experience

A dynamic and well qualified Design and Technology Teacher - Graphics and Hospitality is required in this 'Good' Secondary school based in Wandsworth.

The school follows a strong ethos that every child will achieve and encourage students to take part in all elements of the school. 50% of students in Year 11 gained at least 5 A*-C grades in their 2018 GCSE results, The school has an above average progress 8 score of 0.19.

The school has been recently rebuilt and facilities are excellent, located within easy commuting distance of central London this is a great place to work. The school invested heavily in all areas of the schools technology departments. Recent refurbishment have included machinery, refurbished workshops, investment in support staff and an increase to the number of teachers in the department. This has led to an increase in the number of students selecting technology subjects at both GCSE and A-Level.

The school are looking to recruit a teacher who will join a well dynamic department. You will be teaching Graphics and Hospitality at KS3/4. They are looking for a Design Technology teacher who has all the right attributes to make a valid contribution ensuring the students are making the right progress.

In addition the school is very keen to hear from teachers who thrive in high achieving school's challenging both themselves and their students to achieve outstanding results.

If interested in this role you must have the following:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or be overseas trained.
- PGCE in Design and Technology or degree level equivalent
- Extensive experience teaching Graphics and Hospitality to KS3 and KS4
- Good behavioural management and subject knowledge
- Proven track record of raising attainment and keeping standards high
