Are you a teacher of Design Technology looking for an exciting opportunity to work in East London in a thriving, dynamic and friendly secondary school. The school is looking to employ a Design Technology teacher who is able to deliver design technology and Graphics up to key stage 4 and be part of an excellent, creative and forward thinking department.

The school is looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated teacher of design technology who has experience of delivering outstanding lessons and a record of developing student achievement. The school would like a teacher who is able to offer graphic products. If you are able to offer anothewr area also it would be an advantage but is not essential. This role would suit an experienced teacher of a recently qualified teacher looking for their first teaching position.

The DT department is located in a newly designed space where workshops are furnished to the highest standards with state of the art equipment and resources. The workshops have well maintained machinery that is used in practical lessons. a dedicated technician works in the department to set up and assist with practical activities. These facilities have allowed teachers to progress students and provide lessons that stimulate and excite. Teachers also have access to and are able to use ICT suites to deliver interactive multimedia lessons and students are able to use these facilities to complete work in and out of lesson time.

The head of the DT department has developed the department over the past years and results have continued to rise. The successful applicant will be joining a department that has a wealth of experience in education and is at the forefront of innovation and teaching strategies. You will be teaching DT at KS3 and also be responsible for teaching GCSE at KS4.

For all staff an extensive CPD programme is offered, NQTs will be supported throughout their induction year and training is offered weekly to ensure successful completion and rapid progression into their teaching career. In recent years a number of staff have been promoted internally and staff are valued and retention at the school is good.

• Have relevant specialist qualifications and experience in your subject specialism.

This role is a long term full time position. The successful teacher must be able to teach Food Technology up to and including key stage 4.
